Cultural Origin
碧霞元君信仰起于宋代，《玉女卷》载：
Bixia Yuanjun worship originated in Song Dynasty, “Jade Maiden Scroll” records:
「黄帝建岱岳观时，遣玉女七人云冠羽衣迎西昆仑真人」
“When Yellow Emperor built Tai Temple, sent seven jade maidens in cloud-crowns to greet Kunlun immortals”
明代《碧霞元君护世弘慈妙经》称：
Ming Dynasty “Bixia Yuanjun Salvation Scripture” states:
「居岱岳，主众生，司子孙，佑安康，解厄难」
“Resides in Taishan, governs all beings, oversees descendants, protects health, resolves calamities”
香方融合泰山民俗「拴娃娃」习俗：
Incense formula integrates Taishan folk “tying baby” custom:
求子者取庙中泥娃娃系红绳，得子后制香牌还愿
Childless women tie red strings to clay dolls in temple, make incense plaques as vows after conception
此香牌承「元君慈悲，如母待子」的核心精神

Uses “three steamings three sunnings”: Taishan pine needles steamed for dew, sun-dried on summit for solar essence
每枚香牌需经十八道手工揉压，对应元君十八般慈悲法相
Each plaque hand-kneaded 18 times, matching goddess’s 18 compassionate forms
香牌密度2.8g/cm³，暗合泰山二十八亿年地质年龄之数
Density 2.8g/cm³ echoes Taishan’s 2.8 billion years geological age
